Voice/Speech/Body:
The Lessac System of Training

Yanci is a Lessac Certified teacher.

Professor Lessac and Yanci conduct workshops throughout the country and overseas. They are available as a team, and individually, for master classes, lecture demonstrations, guest teaching for extended periods, and performances.
Queries from universities, colleges, theatre companies, and corporations are welcomed.

Arthur Lessac and Yanci are joining forces to establish a performing arts training facility and Canadian Headquarters for the Lessac Training and Research Institute, in Stratford, Canada. Intensive six week Lessac Summer Workshops will be offered in the Voice/Body/Acting System developed by Professor Lessac.
A second phase of their proposed project includes building an intimate theatre seating 200. The theatre will serve to augment the summer festivities within the town and will host touring productions.

About Lessac Training -

An innovative training program in voice, speech, and body work for theatre teachers, performers, speakers, and advanced students.

Lessac training has its roots in the nature and study of the organic feeling modality, the esthetics of sensation and perception, the psycho-physicality of emotions, the self teaching and self exploring process, and the understanding of anatomy and physiology.
Lessac’s research and findings in the areas of voice, speech, body training, and clinical therapy incorporate a rather unusual philosophy based on a practical system of discovery/exercise/exploration, and a vital concept of psychosomatic health and wellness into a single, creative, dynamic discipline applicable to theatre, concerts, athletics, therapy, and life in general.

The purpose and function of the Lessac Training: increase human potential, reveal and expose human talents, foment heuristic self teaching, and promote creativity in all our endeavors, be they in the common, professional, or artistic categories.

The fundamentals of Professor Lessac’s approach are outlined in his books: „The Use and Training of the Human Voice“, and „Body Wisdom: The Use and Training of the human Body.“
