Michelangelo The Last Giant
a historical perspective spiced with humor, passion and pathos
The manner in which the story is told is fascinating
the flashback technique is not unusual, but what Yanci has done with a specially trained troupe is
the effect is both eerie and awe inspiring. This is a splendid production.

Conceived and written by Yanci and co-written by Robert Benedetti, Michelangelo The Last Giant probes to find the truth about the oft misunderstood brilliant artisan that graced so much of Italy with his creations.
The play begins with an old Michelangelo nearing death, and who, with the help of a Witness, a saint like figure, reviews the events of his life in the hopes that he and the god he is about to meet will find his deeds satisfactory.
