“Since their are no levels to which a “step up” can be taken, the architectural designs within the moving body give the illusion of levels, banister etc.
The stylistic qualities of pantomimic illusions move away from the natural or commonplace. The object being: to present the essence or the essential ideal of a particular activity rather than portraying the everyday act. The actor-mime only appears to simulate the norm. The illusion rises above the norm and embodies the all-ness of the idea. The design of the activity is freed to extend”.

“Fire!
How would one go about illuminating the idea through movement? Or how would one express rain, anger, love through bodily gestures?
The picture lexicon offers ideas with which to play and develope. It is a starting point for an expplorative journey into the inexhaustible gallery of pictures making up a vocabulary of movement of a silent language.
While playing with a particular idea other interpretations, nuances of movements, or themes revolving around and relating to the motif may unveil themselves. The forms and shapes are kaleidoscopic”.
